Wolverine Nordic Trails Wolverine Nordic Trails is constructed on land that is privately owned and are available for non-motorized use only.  Choose from 2 main loops of:
Powderhorn Loop that is 7 km
Wolverine Loop that is 5 km.
Both loops are connected and offer a wide verity of wildlife scenery.  18 km total trails offer loops groomed and track set with Powderhorn Loop groomed for Skating.

New for 1999 – Heated changing rooms and chalet.
Donations needed for volunteer maintenance program.

To get to the Wolverine entrance take US2, East of Ironwood to Section 12 Road (Turn at Gygi Heating) and turn North.  Go to Sunset Road and turn Right. Wolverine Nordic Trails will be approximately ½ mile, located on Right.

Snowshoed at ABR yesterday and it was great we took part in the taste & tour so we were able to walk on the cross country trails to get to the food. Trails are in excellent shape and should last till the end of the month this should include wolverine and all other area trails. Sam

Just talked to a skier that is staying at the motel and said the trails are in great shape the warm up didn't heart them at all. We did get 8 to 10 inches of snow last night so the cross country trails should be in excellent shape. Sam

All cross country ski trails are reporting great skiing after the warm up and continue to groom daily.

It just keeps on snowing & snowing & snowing we have 108 inches of snow so far and its just keeps on snowing. All cross country areas are in excellent condition and will only get better if that's possible. Sam

Daily grooming ABR trail conditions Posted December 28, 2009, 9:06 pm We have been getting daily snowfalls and we have been grooming the trails daily. We have been grooming from 6-9 AM with 4 groomers since the snow has been coming in the morning. Today skiing was super and it snowed another 2-3 inches until 3 PM. Conditions at Wolverine Nordic Ski Club Now We're Skiing! All 25 km are groomed daily for skating and striding to offer the BEST conditions for skiers

ABR is open with 4 to 6 inches of snow but you need to use your rock skies as it is very thin. Sam
