Wolverine Nordic Trails Wolverine Nordic Trails is constructed on land that is privately owned and are available for non-motorized use only.  Choose from 2 main loops of:
Powderhorn Loop that is 7 km
Wolverine Loop that is 5 km.
Both loops are connected and offer a wide verity of wildlife scenery.  18 km total trails offer loops groomed and track set with Powderhorn Loop groomed for Skating.

New for 1999 – Heated changing rooms and chalet.
Donations needed for volunteer maintenance program.

To get to the Wolverine entrance take US2, East of Ironwood to Section 12 Road (Turn at Gygi Heating) and turn North.  Go to Sunset Road and turn Right. Wolverine Nordic Trails will be approximately ˝ mile, located on Right.

ABR TRAILS SKI REPORT --------------------------------------- 01 / 24 / 12 The Clydesdales skied the main trails tonight that were groomed in the AM , no glazed tracks, just some nice hard firm fast tracks. We had a super ski….all 13 of us. The Pisten Bully will be headed out early in the morning to groom Blueberry, Bards, Hautanen, Coyote, Meadow and maybe Peltonen.

ABR TRAILS SKI REPORT --------------------------------------- SKIING & SNOW CONDITIONS: Wednesday PM We reset 25 k of classic track this morning and skiing was very good. The snow started this afternoon. We will groom tonight and again early in the AM. Wednesday AM We have been setting classic tracks along the skate lanes this morning and is turning out quite nice, we are able to pull in fresh cold dry powder. The skate lanes are not groomed today they were groomed yesterday. They may be a bit icy until they get groomed, maybe later today. Wolverine trail report: Grooming report 1-8-12: Groomed and track set. Trails are in excellent condition.

ABR Report: The snow added up to about a foot of snow today and last night….that is on top of the 1/2 foot from yesterday. That’s what we are used to measuring snow in “feet”. The groomers were out for a long shift this morning including the Pisten Bully. They will be back out tonight and in the morning. About 20 km was powertilled, most of it twice, and about 40 km of tracks set 2-3 times this morning. Wolverine Report: Grooming report 1-2-12: The weather is still snowing and blowing but the groomers went out this morning at 7:30. Most of our trails are in the woods so blowing shouldn't be a problem. Romo's field might be wind blown. All trails are currently open and in excellent condition.

ABR 6 Groomers out doing their magic Posted December 27, 2011, 8:30 am 6 of the groomers have been out since early this morning and the trails are coming out very nice. We expect to have 50 km groomed by 9 AM including new tracks.

ABR Friday PM - Friday, December 16, 2011 8:51 pm Trails are looking super. Just coming in from grooming Peltonen Pass-out The trails are starting to get smooth and firm classic tracks looked good. We will be back out in the early AM regrooming. We have 55 km open and tracked. Skiers were happy today.

ABR TRAILS SKI REPORT --------------------------------------- 12/17/11 6 inches of heavy snow fell today. The skiing is back to winter like conditions! The groomers are headed out tonight and will back out in force in the early AM We plan to have 55-60 km groomed for Friday and in very good to excellent shape.

ABR report the 10 inches of new snow groomed up well. We classic tracked 42 km today and groomed 37 k of skating; another 25 k was roller packed. The trails had good cover. Some of the steep hills got snow plowed off since the new snow did not have a chance to set but the mornings grooming should shape it up.
