Mercer,
Wisconsin Cross Country Ski Trail Information
MECCA
Do you love the
outdoors, love to cross country ski, hike, view birds and other
wildlife? The Mercer Cross-Country Ski Association (MECCA)
is an all-volunteer group that is looking for members. No
further qualifications are needed.
MECCA maintains the
four season silent sport trails in the Mercer area. The
trails can be used to hike or mountain bike in Spring, Summer or
Fall and for skiing or snow shoeing in the Winter. Almost
19km (11.7) miles of trails lead through fields and woods where
you can view nature at its finest. The club meets monthly to plan
the design and maintenance of the trails, plan the money raising
events that help finance the club's work, plan and host the annual
Candlelight Ski and plan fun activities for the club
members. The two fund raising events held annually are the
Spring Mercer Yard Sale and our booth at Loon Day. If this
sounds interesting to you, the club would like to fear from.
Call Andy Fowler at (715) 476-7828 for more information or a
membership application.
The MECCA Trail system is accessible
from 2 trail heads. Trailhead
