Michigan's Best Kept Secret! - The Listening Inn Trails
They are open with 14k of Groomed classical trail.  Trails are marked with 2 Beginner loops.  This trail is over various terrain, Hardwoods, Pines, Peterson creek views and open meadows.  We Groom our trails with a snow machine and a Tidd-Tech groomer.   *These trails are open to the Public ,  with a Daily or Seasonal pass!  Daily $6.00   Seasonal is $60.00  Rentals available!  XC-ski's and Traditional snowshoes (Snowshoe trails are separate trails)

Lake Mary Plains Pathway - Copper Country State Forest
Located just east of Crystal Falls, and off of M69 the Lake Mary Plains Pathway offers over 25 km of trails.  The scenic pathway begins along Glidden Lake and offers loops for beginners (green label) through experts (black label).   Trails here are primarily for classical skiers looking for scenery and natural challenges.

Cross Country SkiingGe-Che cross country ski trail - Ottawa National Forest
Located west of Iron River, MI, just 26 miles from Crystal Falls, at Ottawa Lake, the Ge-Che ("Big Lake" in Ojibwa) offers 8.5 miles of groomed trails.  6 miles of beginning level and 2.5 miles of expert level trails present a very interesting and challenging day of skiing for the cross country enthusiast.   The web of trails winds along Hagerman Lake, Lake Ottawa and Bennan Lake.  More information on this trail can be obtained from the Iron River Ranger District, 990 Lalley Road, Iron River MI   49935 or call 906.265.5139.

The Iron River Nordic Cross Country Ski Center - George Young Recreation Complex
Located a short driving distance from Crystal Falls the Iron River Nordic Cross Country Ski Center offers 6 km of meticulously groomed trails - prepared for both classical and skating techniques.  Follow the trails to explore Wagner Lake or wind through the wooded expanse of the complex.  The varying terrain provides excellent skiing for all ability levels - from novice to expert.  Trails are open from 10:00am to 4:30pm Wednesday through Sunday.

Ski Brule has 23 kilometers of undisturbed beauty which greet the cross-country skier.

Thanks to all that used The Bear Paw trail system this season! We will be opening the season of 2010 with a Costume Fling the 1st. Best Costume will win a New pair of ski's and 2nd. Best a pair of Snowshoes. We also purchased a New Groomer for next season and will have more trail for you to try. So have a safe summer, and will see those back when it gets colder! We also have a Mt Bike race for June 12th starts at 9am. See you then!

Well spring came early this year! So our Costume fling will our opening trail system party to welcome winter back. We will be giving away a XC-Ski pkg. and a pair of traditional Snowshoes for the Best Costume! We hope everyone enjoyed our events and will return for more next ski season. Have a great year! trails are in Great condition, we had fresh snow this last week,so were getting closer for the sno-bear biathlon race. tracks are set for you practice runs this weekend. Get out and enjoy our up winter! see you on the trail!

4'' of fresh powdery snow came into the up this weekend with lot's of blowing and drifting. But as of tuesday afternoon the trails are freshly packed with a very nice deep track. Lot's of sking season left! *Remember The Great Sno-Bear Biathlon is coming closer, Sign-up now! Ton's of Fun!

Winter is Back! With sum fresh snow and 20 degree temps the trails are groomed again, still plenty of great sking left. Enjoy our Souper Sundays in Feb. come in after sking and enjoy Homemade soup and Homemade Bread. only Sundays 12-4 in Feb. Enjoy winter!

Trails are in Excellent shape , freshly groomed with some light powder. Come out Sat. Jan. 16th for Ski For Warmth and donate to help heat a neghbors house. Snacks and refreshment and good fellowship after. Enjoy Winter!
